The greatest training and education that has contributed to my success has been the relationships and guidance received from seasoned HR professionals through organizations such as BV-SHRM. My Bachelor’s in HR and MBA were great foundations for a career path, but the real-world experience and finesse added by these relationships have made me a more effective and successful professional. |
Vice President Programs Director of Human Resources |
I joined BV-SHRM in 2013 and have had the pleasure of serving with our amazing board in a variety of volunteer roles, including President. I am passionate about BV-SHRM, because it enhances my effectiveness in the HR field through valuable resources, relationships, opportunities, and training. I don't know what I would do or where I would be without the support of friends made through BV-SHRM. My HRD degree from Texas A&M, PHR, and SHRM-CP provide a strong foundation, but my most valuable resources by far are the cumulative experience and support of our membership. Thanks to our organization, I’ve established a network in the Brazos Valley and beyond to consult on the ever-changing challenges in our field. |
Co-Vice President Human Resources Manager |
From day one, BV-SHRM has exceeded my expectations. You’ll have a hard time finding a better group in terms of networking, education and camaraderie. As a professional in HR who has been responsible for a broad range of responsibilities, the variety of topics covered from month to month has been extremely timely and helpful in my day to day. My membership has been so beneficial to me that it helped drive my decision to join the Membership committee and welcome others with similar goals. I’m excited to have been chosen as Co-Vice President of Membership to help further drive the excitement and experiences of others. |
