    Topic: Blinn College's Workforce Development Program 

    Speaker: Jay Anderson

    Jay Anderson is the Dean of Technical Education for the Blinn College District. His presentation will include a comprehensive overview and update of Blinn College’s Workforce Development Program, focusing on exciting workforce education and training opportunities currently taking place as well as new program concepts in the development stages. Blinn College’s Workforce Development programs have earned national recognition from the National Center for Construction Education and Research. 

    The Department of Technical Education is inclusive of the Workforce Development programs. Mr. Anderson holds an Associate’s degree, Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree. He has an extensive background in Industrial operations as well as a career history in higher education. Before joining the Blinn College team,  Anderson held positions within industry including corporate training, operations, safety, quality and logistics, and has held higher education positions including Director of Technical Education, Lead Faculty, Department Head and Dean of Technical Education.
