      • Topic: Pronouncing Unfamiliar Names: Tips from a Language Teacher

        One’s name may reflect one’s culture or heritage, so the correct pronunciation is important. This session will bring awareness and reflection on diversity – one of BVSHRM’s diversity, equity and inclusion goals.

    Saying someone’s name correctly (or at least close!) is a show of respect. It can be hard when names are unfamiliar or foreign. This session will give you strategies for pronouncing names from different language groups that are represented at Texas A&M.
